Mont Ventoux takes a particular place in cycling history. There are three possible routes that will lead you to the top of Mount Ventoux.

Starting from Sault (765m)

three routes to the top This is the easiest of the three routes. 26 km over 1187 m with an average gradient of 4.7%. The first 20 km leading through the forest, are quiet and less steep. It is advisable to make a pause at Chalet Reynard (1410m) before climbing the last 6 km (average gradient 9%!)

Starting from Malaucène (377m)

starting from Malaucène A difficult climb only for trained cyclists. 21 km over 1535 m with an average gradient of 7.3%. The road is in an excellent status. The first 10 km are difficult with variable gradient up to Belvedere. The right place to make a pause before climbing the next 4 km with an average gradient of 10%. One km later: the arrival on the Mont Serein. The last 6 kilometres are difficult but soon the summit comes in sight – you have arrived!

Starting from Bédoin (300m)

starting from Bédoin This is the most famous and difficult ascent and only for experienced cyclists. 21.5 km over 1610 m with an average gradient of 7.5%. The first 6 kilometres the climb is easy. But the 15.5 remaining kilometres have an average gradient of 10%!. The last 4 km have violent winds.
